 When my brother died, I was very aware that my daughter, who was very close to her uncle, was experiencing a very deep sense of loss for him. As a social worker, I did my best to be there for her, yet there were still times when I was so lost in my own sadness and grief, that I couldn’t be there for her, how she wanted me to be. When we got Our Special Place: Love from your Uncle, Molly was able to move through her grief in her own way and at her own pace. By feeling him in her heart, and having somewhere real to imagine him being, she was able to move through her grief into a place of acceptance. There is still sadness there, as he isn’t there to hug in real life, but Molly can listen to the CD and imagine him there, playing with her, so this is the next best thing.

Our Special Place: for Adults and Teens helped me as well ... allowing me to experience feelings I was resisting, so that I could move through my grief easier. Thank you, Celia.
